2. Data protection at a glance
We collect data you provide directly (for example via the enquiry form or email sign-ups) and technical data automatically transmitted by your browser (for example IP address, browser type, pages visited). Your data is used exclusively to process rental enquiries, communicate with you, measure our advertising with your consent, and ensure the proper operation of this website. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Hosting (Netlify)
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, Netlify automatically processes server log data such as IP address, browser type, date and time of the request, and the pages accessed, to deliver the website and ensure its security and stability. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website). Log data is stored by Netlify for a limited period. For transfers to the USA, appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR (EU Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.
4. Rental enquiries
When you send an enquiry via the request form, we collect: first name, phone number, email address, occasion, selected villa, travel dates, number of guests, the displayed price, and your message. This data is received through Netlify Forms (Netlify, Inc.) and automatically forwarded via the automation service Zapier (Zapier, Inc., USA) to our email inbox and into an enquiry list in Google Sheets (Google Ireland Ltd.), where we process your enquiry and prepare the booking. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract). Enquiry data is deleted after 2 years unless a booking is made; booking and contract data is retained for 5 years in accordance with Spanish tax and commercial law.
5. Email notifications you request
If you sign up for deal emails, an availability alert for specific dates, or ask us to email a stay summary to you or your group, we store the email address you enter together with the details of your sign-up (villa, dates) and use it only for the purpose you requested. These messages are sent via the services named in section 4. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with an email to eric@erics.rentals.
6. Contacting us
When you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry including any personal data provided is stored and processed solely for handling your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). If you choose to contact us via the WhatsApp links on this website, WhatsApp opens on your device and the terms and privacy policy of WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) apply; this website itself does not transmit any of your data to WhatsApp.
7. Cookies, consent and Meta Pixel
This website works without tracking cookies by default. Your cookie choice itself is stored in your browser (localStorage entry “erics_consent”) so we do not have to ask again on every visit.
If you click “Accept” in the cookie banner, we load the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. It sets the cookies _fbp and, if you came from a Meta ad, _fbc (storage period up to 90 days). We use this to measure which ads lead to requests and bookings. If your request turns into a booking, we report this booking to Meta via the Conversions API, using your email and phone number in hashed form. Meta may transfer data to the USA; Meta relies on safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Without consent, no Meta cookies are set and no data is sent to Meta. If you withdraw your consent, the Meta cookies are deleted.

8. Google Fonts
This website uses the typeface Inter via Google Fonts, loaded from Google servers (Google Ireland Ltd.). When a page loads, your browser transmits your IP address to Google in order to retrieve the font files. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a consistent presentation of the website).
9. Videos (Vimeo)
The background video on our homepage and the house tours on the villa pages are embedded from Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10001, USA). The homepage video loads automatically; a house tour loads only when you open it. In both cases your browser connects to Vimeo servers and transmits technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you are on. We embed all videos with Vimeo’s “Do Not Track” setting, so Vimeo does not set tracking cookies or record viewing sessions. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in presenting our villas with video in a fast and reliable way). Vimeo may transfer data to the USA; Vimeo relies on EU Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR. More information: vimeo.com/privacy.
10. International data transfers
Your personal data is processed within the EU/EEA as a rule. Where data is transferred outside the EEA (Netlify, Zapier, Google, Meta, Vimeo: USA), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, in particular EU Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR.
11. Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21), and withdrawal of consent (Art. 7 (3)). To exercise any of these rights, contact eric@erics.rentals. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es.
12. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. This website uses TLS/SSL encryption (HTTPS) for all data transmission.
